Andrew Carnegie

Andrew Carnegie was a Scottish-American industrialist, business magnate, and philanthropist. Carnegie led the expansion of the American steel industry in the late 19th century and is often identified as one of the richest people. He became a leading philanthropist in the United States and in the British Empire.

Although Andrew Carnegie was the leading philanthropist of the United States in the late 1900's, his treatment towards his laborers were no better than other money typhoons. Despite making up to 40 million dollars a year, he would only pay his workers around 400-600 dollars annually. Eventually, this would lead to a worker strike leading to so much violence that 3 people died.
