Government Shutdown '95-'96

From approximately November of 1995, to January of 1996, the United States government shut down  twice due to President Bill Clinton vetoing the budgeting bill proposed by Congress.  This bill was comprised of cutting government funding to certain programs such as educational and environmental programs.  Upon President Clinton's refusal to adhere to the budget cuts suggested to help pull the United States out of debt, Newt Gingrich, Speaker of the House of Representatives, informed Clinton that he would not allow the national debt limit to be raised further.  As a result, the US government went into shutdown.

Throughout the duration of the shutdown, President Clinton refused to budge in order to maintain a strong public image as well as ensure his goals to fund certain programs effectively were met.  After around three weeks of shutdown, a new budget bill was proposed, and the government was reopened.

This reflects the government shutdown that occurred a few months ago, very interesting good job.
